High-temperature woven fiberglass tape is commonly used to insulate and seal boiler fire dampers, boiler joints, and gasket seals. Fiberglass insulation tape can be used on extremely hot pipes before fiberglass pipe insulation is installed to lower the surface temperature of the pipe.
