Silica Woven Tapes are intended for high temperature applications with continuous service up to 1,800°F (982°C). Silica Tape is a high temperature woven Tape which is use for Equipment Fire Protection, Heat Insulation of Pipe Hoses and Electric Cable, Resist Splattering of Welding and Molten Metal.

Description

SIT Silica Fiber Tape is woven from an extremely pure filament silica fiber. Woven tape has the benefit over slit tape of edges that will not fray unless cut. PSA backed is available.


Features

The tape is overlaped by 50% when wraping, which provides the entire assembly with stability.  Safety wire, clamps, ties or pure silicone tape can be used to secure the tape in place after installation.


Application

It is used to protection of industrial hydraulic hoses and lines, pneumatic lines, fuel & oil lines, brake lines, wires, cables, tube and pipe from exposure to high and extreme heat conditions.
